The Outsider

I was walking the streets of Toronto one evening when this troubled man appeared in my field of view right in front of a wall of graffiti. In a sense, this image was taken before I even grabbed my camera. When I noticed his scars it seemed as if he had popped right out of the street art behind him, a direct product of his environment. This was a vivid reminder for me that wars aren't always distant events; that invisible battles are often fought right on our doorsteps.
